Culture of Disability is cultural expression and action derived from people with disabilities, inspired by them and/or addressed to them.
NEOFYTOS works to establish disability culture through diverse cultural actions and to combat the confinement experienced by people with disabilities through cultural creation, reintegration, social contribution, awareness and education.
Its goals include lifelong learning, international cooperation and “Disability Peace”, research into participation and accessibility, and disability awareness.

Art is not a side door to inclusion. It is one of the places where inclusion is made.
The DIS Art and Culture Disability Festival is a European cultural initiative born in Larnaca in 2024 and expanding across Europe. The 2026 initiative brought performances, workshops, a conference and accessibility-focused cultural activity across Cyprus.

NEOFYTOS is designed around accessible structure: keyboard operation, visible focus, readable contrast, semantic headings, clear language, reduced motion and alternatives for audio and video.
The production baseline is WCAG 2.2 AA, subject to ongoing human and disability-led testing.
